Does it make sense to impregnate my sofa?

By impregnating your sofa you extend its lifespan. The fabric stays clean longer and the chance of permanent stains is much less. With Puratex® impregnation you can do this safely and quickly. A large sofa will take you less than 10 minutes. 

Puratex® impregnation applies an invisible protective layer to the fibre. This protects it against moisture and dirt. This makes it easier to clean the sofa and reduces the chance of stains. 

Regular cleaning then ensures a fresh and clean appearance. And everyone wants to sit on a clean sofa. 

Impregnation is not always necessary. If you have a 100% wool fabric, wool fat (lanolin) usually provides sufficient protection. With light colours it is often sensible. 

Sometimes you also see combinations of, for example, 70% wool and other fibres. If you have 30% viscose in the fabric, impregnation certainly has added value. 

Even if you have thoroughly cleaned an older fabric and removed the lanolin, impregnation is still useful to protect the fabric again.
